Description
Produced from Touriga Nacional, Portugal's flagship grape variety, this mature 2015 vintage combines concentrated dark fruit with floral elegance and refined oak influence. Silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, complex finish make it a sophisticated wine with excellent ageing potential and an outstanding partner for rich, savoury dishes.
This wine has been vinified under the care and with the expertise of Thanassis and George Papaioannou, from the Touriga grapes of their organic vineyards.
It has been aged in new oak casks for 24 months.

Α. & G. PAPAIOANNOU, located in the vast Nemea region of Greece, boasts the largest vineyard area. This family-owned winery features a small bottling line, an expansive barrel cellar, and a modern tasting hall. All their vineyards are certified organic. Notably, they own the renowned Nemea vineyard, nestled near the remains of the Temple of Zeus—a perfect spot for tourists’ selfies. Thanassis Papaioannou, the winery’s founder, is one of Greece’s oldest winemakers.
Tasting notes
Nose: Intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry, violet, and plum, layered with notes of cedar, sweet spice, cocoa, and subtle tobacco. Palate: Full-bodied and elegant, offering rich dark fruit, ripe tannins, and flavours of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, and vanilla, balanced by fresh acidity and well-integrated oak. Finish: Long, smooth, and complex, with lingering dark fruit, spice, and a refined mineral character.
Serving
Suggestions: Serve at 16–18°C. Decant for 45–60 minutes to fully express its aromas and complexity.
