Description

A blend of old sake made from Yamada-nishiki produced in Hyogo prefecture, that has gone through a long aging process of more than 5 years. Rich aroma and sweetness harmonize gorgeously.

The taste is mild, yet rich umami stays and comes and goes in the mouth. We call it “wave of bliss”. Enjoy the fully matured luxurious taste that is only available once in a year.

Produced by Kenbishi

Kenbishi is known as the first sake brewery to be branded in Japan, est. 1505. Kenbishi was very popular sake enjoyed by samurai. On the eve of major military battles, a large Kenbishi barrel would be ceremoniously opened. It was believed that sake strengthened the bonds of friendship and established strong loyalty in upcoming battles.
