Description
Saint Bris is one of a kind in Burgundy. Obviously not made from Pinot Noir or Gamay, nor is it made from Chardonnay. The grape variety is Sauvignon which is usually found a few kilometers away in Sancerre. The nose boasts very distinctive and expressive notes of blackcurrant bud and leaf, of broom and box-tree. When young an exotic side may appear with litchi aromas. the terroir and its minerality are of course still present.

Domaine Verret is a family farm of 57 hectares in north Burgundy near Auxerre.
Tasting notes
Appearance: Pale straw with brilliant green highlights. Nose: Fresh aromas of grapefruit, lime, gooseberry, and white flowers, with subtle flinty mineral notes. Palate: Crisp and vibrant, offering citrus, green apple, and white peach, balanced by lively acidity and the distinctive minerality of Saint-Bris. Finish Clean, refreshing, and persistent, with lingering citrus and a refined mineral finish.
Serving
Suggestions: Serve chilled (8–10°C). Ideal as an aperitif or with fresh seafood and light dishes.
Pairs with: Oysters and shellfish, Sushi and sashimi, Grilled white fish, Goat's cheese, Asparagus, Fresh salads
