Description
Hokaku Shochu made with buckwheat (soba).
An elegant buckwheat shochu with delicate aromas of toasted grain and roasted nuts. Smooth and refined, it offers a clean, dry finish that makes it exceptionally versatile both as an aperitif and alongside food.
Soba is buckwheat which has very little carbohydrate so this makes very dry original spirit.
Produced by Ninki Shuzo, Fukushima Japan
Ninki Shuzo, a well-known sake brewery, is unwavering in its dedication to quality and authenticity. They carefully create sake, putting in maximum effort and avoiding shortcuts. Using traditional tools like wooden implements, a Japanese steaming cauldron, and koji fermentation trays, they deliberately avoid more efficient alternatives.
